Setting up a trusted device

Due to Apple recently starting to enforce an extra layer of security when logging to your iOS developer account called – two-factor authentication or 2FA. In short, that means there is an extra step that needs to be done on your side, since our publishing team is submitting the app on your behalf, that would enable them to continue submitting apps as they did previously.

The solution for this procedure – adding our phone number which is used a Trusted number in your account settings, so our publishing team can easily manage your app and app submissions.

IMPORTANT when you add our phone number to your account as a Trusted number, there is an additional step – once we receive the code, we will need to forward it to you, so you could verify this procedure.

We will organise a time with you so we can go through the below-mentioned process.

How to add another Trusted phone number?

  1. Log in to your Apple ID account page https://appleid.apple.com/
  2. In the Security section click on “Edit” button
  3. Under Trusted Phone numbers, click on “Add another phone number…”
  4. Add the number: Please contact us for the number at this time.
Note:  This number is not to be used for any kind of support, calls or anything similar. Such requests will be
ignored, blocked and we will not respond to them!
  5. We will receive the code on our device and email you with the code
  6. Enter this code in the box that has appeared on your device.
  7. After this, our phone number will be listed as a Trusted number under your account, and we will be receiving a code via SMS when trying to log to your account in the future.
  8. When someone from our team logs in, the Macbook device will be saved on your devices list as a Trusted device.
