Email Setup

Configuring email setup in LoyaltyMate

An email account needs to be set up for LoyaltyMate.

From Name: Your Name or Business Name – Fill it in with the details you want the receiver to see who its sent from.

From Email:  Your email address that will be used to send the emails 

Email Account Setup

1. Email - Same email address as From Email

2. Password - The password for the above address

3. Email Provider

  • GMAIL – If your email address is with GMAIL then select this. It will automatically fill in the SMTP Server , Port, Delivery method and turn Secure Socket Layer on.
    Note: In your GMAIL account you need to allow access to less secure apps. Log in to your GMAIL account, go to Account Settings, under Sign In and Security go to  Connected Apps and Sites. Check that “Allow access to less secure sites” is on.

  • HOTMAIL/OUTLOOK - If your email address is with HOTMAIL then select this. It will automatically fill in the SMTP Server , Port, Delivery method. Secure Socket Layer should be off.

  • YAHOO - If your email address is with YAHOO then select this. It will automatically fill in the SMTP Server , Port, Delivery method and Secure Socket Layer.
    Note: The “From Emall” and “Email*” should be the same.

  • OTHER – If your email address is not with any of the above then you will need to select this. You will also need to find from your email provider the SMTP Server Address and the Port number. Some providers supply the SMTP Server Address and Port Number on their websites or they can be found via google search. Others will need to be asked for.

Once you have filled in the settings, click the Validate button.

The web app will confirm the details and ask for a validation code (which will have been sent to the email ID being setup).

Enter Validation code, confirmation will pop up.

Click on save button and your email setup is complete.
